Firefly has been built to attempt to push the World Electric Water Speed Record over the magical 100 mph barrier. The attempt will be made in 2008 under the controls and regulations of the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and the UIM (Union of International Motonautique), the national & international governing bodies. Helen Loney will be attempting to smash her own Record with the same team and technical partners as with her previous attempt, but with a new dramatically re designed hull and further technical advancements.
