Driver
Helen has grown up around motorboat racing, following
in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. She is a
member of Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club, were she has
been champion over the last 4 years and is holder of the
Donald Campbell Salver. She is a graduate of Newcastle University
and works as a RICS chartered surveyor for Pugh & Co |

Chris
Loney
Team Manager
Chris, husband of Helen, is himself a Power Boat Racer starting
when he was 15 at
the Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club, driving a variety of boats
he was very
successful, winning the Championship on more than one occasion.
Now most of
his spare time is taken up rigging boats and running Helen’s
racing activities. He
is a graduate of Bangor University and a director of a
B to B Advertising Agency. |

Cedric
Lynch
Motor Designer
Cedric built his first motor in 1987 to enter
a competition to see who
could go furthest on one
battery charge in a boat.
After his success he moved onto other forms of transport including
cars and bikes,
were he has attempted numerous speed and endurance records.
Always one for moving his motors further on, he has steadily increased
power and efficiency in recent years, to provide much improved units
for this attempt. |

Nigel Harris
Nigel joined Chloride Technical in 1978 as a Development Technician before moving to various other roles within the business such as Electric Vehicle Technician, EV Service Engineer, Battery Design Engineer and Applications Engineer. He is currently Export Product Support Manager for CMP Batteries.
Nigel is married and lives in Eccles, Manchester with his wife June and daughter Naomi. In his spare time he is a keen walker and enjoys spending time under canvas. |

Graham
Loney

Graham is a member of WMBRC and one of the founders of the British
Classic Motor Boat Rally. His interest in old speedboats covers
the restoration and the
history of pleasure and racing craft. He is trained as a graphic
designer and illustrator and is a director of a specialised technical
advertising and PR agency.

Chris
Pattison
Boat Eng.
Chris, another WMBRC member, started his need for speed at the
age of 11 when
he began learning to glide. At 18 he successfully raced a world
record holding Class F alcohol dragster. His interest in water
speed started after exhibiting alongside Donald Campbell and his
Bluebird
K7, at RAF Debdon. Chris’s other claim to
fame is that
he is the fastest team
member exceeding Mach 2
on a regular basis when he
worked aboard Concorde. |

Arvind Rabadia
Agni Motors
Arvind Competed in electric vehicle competitions between 1984 & 1991. In October 1991 he won the motorcycle category of an International competition held in Strasbourg, Mulhouse & Colmar in Alsace, France. In 2002 with Cedric Lynch he established Agni Motors in Gujarat, India produce new improved versions of Cedric’s motors. |

Anton

Team Rescue
Anton is an extreme sport fanatic ranging from power
boat racing at WMBRC were he is a member, sky diving, paragliding,
barefoot skiing, scuba diving, downhill skiing and anything else
that’s a bit dangerous. When he is not throwing himself off
something, he is a director
of a printing company in Leyland. |

Dick Batters
Technical
Dick has been involved with a wide range of record breaking attempts which coupled with his marine & computer business experience will allow the team to develop various systems to monitor the performance of the project. |

Burt Noone
Design & Technical
Burt is one of the found fathers of hydroplane racing in the UK and has competed on the World Stage on numerous occasions. He has been involved in many past record attempts and brings a wealth of experience of how to develop hydroplanes to run at high speeds. |

Emrhys
Barrell
TELCO.
Emrhys has been involved with record-breaking boats since he built the 72ft high-tech racing yacht Great Britain II to sail round the world in 1974. A succession of fast craft followed, and in 1989 he joined the original An Stradag team. After forming the Thames Electric Launch Company he and his wife Linda have gone on to lead the field of electric boating selling dozens of boats to private and commercial customers and setting a new World Electric Endurance Record. |
